A Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant plays a crucial role in managing the financial transactions related to accounts receivables within an organization. Key responsibilities include ensuring the accurate and timely recording of revenue, monitoring customer accounts, invoicing, and facilitating the collection of outstanding balances. This role is also critical in improving AR processes, including invoicing, payment reconciliation, dunning, and debt collection.

AR Accountant will work closely with the general accounting team, credit manager, treasury, and other internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, adept at handling multiple tasks, and possesses strong accounting skills.

What you'll do

• Prepare monthly billing and revenue summaries
• Lead the work of processing AR invoices and credit notes
• Analyzing customer arrangements and transactions to ensure correct revenue recognition
• Preparation of month-end reconciliation of AR accounts
• Perform month-end closing activities
• Regularly monitor AR aging reports (30-60-90 days)
• Track accounts overdue by more than 30 days and report to the relevant business unit leaders
• Researching of past due accounts and collaborate with credit manager
• Audit AR reports and bank statements to ensure proper revenue recognition
• Review payment agreements and service contracts to verify payment terms.
• Make necessary adjustments, including posting debits and credit
• Develop and implement process and control procedures
• Create KPI sets to support effective management reporting
• Collaborate with business units and colleagues on AR-related matters
• Actively engage in changes and continuous improvements within the AR process
• Contribute to the continuous documentation of AR process activities

What you should have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5-7 years of experience in a related Accounts Receivable (AR) position
• Proficiency in SAP
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Professional-level fluency in English
• Experience in analysing business performance and developing financial plans
